Terms of Service & Privacy Policy
ZikFash
Last updated: June 18, 2026
This document explains the terms under which you may use ZikFash, and how we handle information within the app. It is written to be read by the tailors and shop owners who use ZikFash directly. Please read it before using the app.
ZikFash is a tool built for tailors and fashion designers. It is currently provided by an independent developer (“we,” “us”) operating under the ZikFash name, and not yet a registered company. This document will be updated as that status changes.
Part A — Terms of Service
1. Who This Applies To
ZikFash is built for tailors, fashion designers, and shop owners (“you,” the “User”). Your clients (the people you measure, design for, and fulfil orders for) do not create their own ZikFash accounts and do not log in directly. You, the User, enter and manage your clients’ information on their behalf within the app.
Because of this, you are responsible for making sure your clients are comfortable with you storing their measurements, photos, and order details in ZikFash, in the same way you would already be responsible for how you store that information in a paper register or on your phone.
2. What ZikFash Is For
ZikFash helps you manage client records, measurements, style preferences, and orders, and offers AI-assisted features such as style suggestion previews, measurement assistance, and reference image search, to support your day-to-day tailoring work.
ZikFash is a tool to support your professional judgment, not a replacement for it. AI-assisted suggestions (style previews, detected measurements, detected style attributes from photos, or search results) are estimates and starting points, not guarantees. You remain responsible for confirming details with your client and for the final accuracy of any garment produced.
3. Your Account and Responsibilities
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter, including client measurements and order details.
- You agree to use ZikFash for legitimate tailoring and fashion business purposes, and not to misuse the app (e.g. attempting to disrupt the service, scrape it, or use it to store unlawful content).
- You are responsible for obtaining any consent needed from your clients to store their photos and measurements in a digital tool such as ZikFash, consistent with how you already handle their information today.
4. AI-Assisted Features
Certain features in ZikFash (such as style preview generation, photo-based measurement assistance, and reference image search) rely on third-party AI and search services to process information you submit, including images. These features are provided “as is,” and results may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or not match what was intended.
Where a feature suggests a value (such as a detected style, sleeve type, or measurement), it is presented for you to review and confirm or correct, never applied silently without your action.
Reference images found through search features may be sourced from the public web. When you select an image for use as an order reference, ZikFash retrieves and stores a copy of that image so it remains available to you offline. We do not claim ownership over images sourced this way; they remain the property of their original creators, and you are responsible for using them appropriately as design reference within your own client work.
5. AI Coins and Payment
ZikFash operates a "Freemium" model. The core digital ledger, anatomical body mapping, and offline storage features are provided 100% free of charge. However, advanced AI features (such as Image Preview Generation, Smart Measurement Parsing, and Style Hotspots) consume "AI Coins."
Every new user receives complimentary free coins to experience the AI capabilities. Once exhausted, additional AI Coins must be purchased via direct bank transfer initiated through WhatsApp within the app.
Refunds: Due to the immediate and irreversible hard costs associated with running third-party AI models (e.g., generating images or parsing documents), purchased AI Coins are non-refundable once the generation process has been initiated by you. Coins do not expire as long as your ZikFash account remains active.
6. Availability and Offline Use
ZikFash is designed to work offline using local on-device storage, with syncing to cloud storage when you have an internet connection. We aim for reliable availability, but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and are not responsible for data loss due to device failure, app uninstallation, or issues outside our reasonable control. You are encouraged to keep your device's app data backed up where possible.
7. Intellectual Property
The ZikFash name, app design, and underlying software belong to its developer. You retain ownership of the content you and your clients generate within the app (such as measurements, notes, and uploaded photos). By using ZikFash, you grant us permission to process that content as needed to provide the service to you (e.g. sending a photo to an AI service to generate a style preview).
8. Limitation of Liability
ZikFash is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to lost income, damaged client relationships, or material/fabric loss resulting from inaccurate measurements, AI suggestions, or app downtime. Always verify critical measurements and design details before cutting fabric.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as ZikFash evolves, particularly as monetization and new features launch. Material changes will be communicated within the app. Continued use of ZikFash after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Termination
You may stop using ZikFash at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for users who violate these Terms, misuse the platform, or use it unlawfully.
Part B — Privacy Policy
1. What Information We Collect
ZikFash collects and stores the following categories of information, entered by you as the User:
- Your account information (name, contact details, shop information).
- Client information you enter on behalf of your customers, including names, contact details, body measurements, style preferences, and order history.
- Photos you or your clients provide, including style reference photos, garment images, and (for AI measurement features) body-reference images.
- No Invasive Tracking (Zero Telemetry): We do not track every click, page view, or action you take in the app. The only data we store centrally is a basic "heartbeat" record of your shop details (Shop Name and Phone Number) to let us know you exist as a tailor and when you last opened the app. Your day-to-day workflow belongs to you.
2. How Information Is Stored
ZikFash uses an offline-first design. Information is stored locally on your device (via on-device browser storage) and synced to our cloud database (hosted on Supabase) when you are connected to the internet. This allows the app to keep working without an internet connection while keeping your data backed up centrally.
3. How Information Is Used
- To provide core app functionality (storing and displaying client/order records).
- To power AI-assisted features, where relevant information (such as a style photo or measurement description) is sent to a third-party AI provider strictly to generate the requested output (e.g. a style preview, a detected measurement, or a search result), and is not used by us for purposes unrelated to providing that feature.
- To maintain, secure, and improve the app over time.
- To communicate with you about your account, app updates, or (once active) credit/billing matters.
4. Third-Party Services
ZikFash relies on third-party infrastructure and AI providers to deliver certain features, including cloud hosting/database services and AI/image-processing services used for style previews, measurement assistance, and reference image search. These providers process the specific data needed to fulfil each request (such as an image submitted for analysis) under their own data handling practices. We choose providers with reasonable security and privacy standards, but encourage you to avoid entering highly sensitive personal information about your clients beyond what is needed for their order.
5. Client Data: Your Responsibility as the User
Because your clients do not interact with ZikFash directly, you act as the data controller for the information you enter about them, and we act as a data processor providing the storage and tooling. You are responsible for:
- Letting your clients know, in whatever way is appropriate for your business, that their measurements and photos are stored digitally.
- Only entering information you have a legitimate, agreed basis to collect and store.
- Removing client information if a client asks you to, using the app's deletion features.
6. Data Retention
Your information and your clients’ information is retained for as long as your account remains active, so that your records remain available to you. You may delete individual client records or your account at any time; deleted records are removed from our active systems, subject to reasonable backup retention periods.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect information stored in ZikFash, including secured cloud storage. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted or stored.
8. Your Rights
Consistent with the Nigeria Data Protection Act, you (and, through you, your clients) have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of personal information stored in ZikFash. Requests relating to your own account can be made directly within the app or by contacting us. Requests relating to client data should first be directed to the tailor/shop who manages that client's record.
9. Children's Information
ZikFash is intended for use by tailors and shop owners operating a business, and is not directed at children. Client records may occasionally relate to a minor (e.g. a child's outfit order) at the discretion of the tailor managing that relationship; in such cases, the responsibility for appropriate parental/guardian consent rests with the tailor entering that information, consistent with their existing professional obligations.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as ZikFash evolves. We will indicate the “last updated” date at the top of this document and notify you in-app of material changes.
11. Contact
Questions about these Terms or this Privacy Policy, or requests relating to your data, can be directed to the ZikFash team through the contact details provided within the app.
